Walk at Capo di Stella

Elevation gain: 10 m – 158 m – Distance: Path 58 = 3 km

The history of this place is full of curiosities: did you know that Napoleon himself dreamed of enclosing the promontory to turn it into a hunting reserve? Today, the area is still largely covered by Mediterranean scrub, preserving its wild and authentic charm.

The 3-kilometer path winds along the narrow point that separates the bays of Stella and Lacona, one of the most scenic promontories on the Island of Elba. Walking this trail in spring is rejuvenating: the landscape is bathed in yellow, with spiny broom flowers in full bloom.

Spring arrives early here, from the beginning of March, and evolves over the weeks—from the ‘first’ spring, with delicate flowers and vibrant colors, to a ‘second’ spring towards May, when the plants prepare for the hot sun and dry soil, extending the blooming season until July.

This trek is perfect for those who love walking in good company, admiring the beauty of nature, and feeling part of something greater.
