Elba Island is easily accessible from the Port of Piombino, with ferries that take about an hour for the crossing. We recommend choosing Portoferraio as the arrival port, as it offers frequent sailings and is well-connected.
For those traveling by car, we suggest taking the Colle Reciso road, which is only 8 km away. For those arriving by camper or caravan, we recommend the main road, which covers a distance of 16 km but is more suitable for this type of vehicle.
Sailings to Rio Marina are less frequent, and it is about 24 km away.

Those wishing to reach Piombino by train can use the Campiglia Marittima station (on the Genoa-Pisa-Rome line), from where frequent connections and shuttle buses depart for Piombino Marittima station, located directly at the port.
Link to ‘Trenitalia’ for train timetables and ticket booking – travel to the Port of Piombino by entering the station ‘Piombino Marittima’.
If you’re flying to Italy, there are two options to reach Tallinucci Camping.
The most direct option is La Pila Airport, located about 8 km from the campsite, right on Elba Island. Once you land, you can take a taxi or rent a car locally to reach the campsite in just a few minutes.
Alternatively, if you land at Pisa Airport, there are several ways to reach Elba Island:
Domestic flights: Marina di Campo Airport from/to Pisa/Florence/Milan Linate – Silver Air company
No direct flight? Land at Pisa airport and reach the port of Piombino by train or hire a car.
International flights: Marina di Campo Airport to/from Lugano – Silver Air company.
