Do you know how many species of wild orchids can be found on Elba Island? Many, many, between 40 and 50!
The trails are fragrant and come alive with vibrant colors, thanks to the delicate butterfly orchid (Orchis papilionacea), the tongue-in-cheek orchid (Serapias neglecta), the tongue orchid (Serapias lingua), and the Tyrrhenian ophrys (Ophrys tyrrhena), whose unique shapes enchant anyone who gazes upon them. The beauty of these flowers inspired the Tallinucci Family to dedicate a special week of photographic trekking at the campsite, to explore together the wild orchids of the Gulf of Lacona.
